Instrumentation / High Voltage / High Current

Illustrated is a custom design slip ring assembly used for strain gage instrumentation; 60 circuit provides a low brush contact noise of 100 microvolts @ 50 milliamps.

Slip Ring Assemblies Illustrated are a standard design for winder and rewind converting systems. The features that are offered include the following:

  • Overall length of 19"
  • Shaft or adapter mounted to meet with your shaft size.
  • Rotating terminal board, minimizes installation time.
  • Power control and low level signals within same enclosure, up to 50 circuits.
  • Use of ball bearings, not composite material.
  • Vector drives (AC) circuits isolated within enclosure. ELiminated harmonic interference to encoder signals.
  • Low capacitance circuits provide an excellent square wave signal.

Unit illustrated also used for winder/unwind applications with an additional feature that includes the mounting of a resolver or encoder directly in line with slip ring drive, less the use of a sprocket and drive belt, zero backlash.

Units illustrated are compact in size, containing (4) or (6) circuits rated @ 20 Amps. Present applications are for heater and thermocouple circuits used on conveyor lines in the baking industry. (Bore sizes .750" to 1.000" dia.)

Unit illustrated contains 508 circuits within an overall length of 42". Circuits include low power, control and low noise rings for instrumentation.
